DETECT. TESA Mexico (testicular sperm aspiration) is a procedure performed to detect and retrieve sperm for an in-vitro fertilization (IVF) procedure. For men who have a non-obstructive cause for the absence of sperm or if PESA is unsuccessful, a biopsy at the LIV Fertility Center in Mexico may be required.
The LIV Fertility Center in Puerto Vallarta believes an inter-disciplinary practice offers you the best option for male fertility treatment.
TESA Mexico— Performing the Procedure
The TESA Mexico (testicular sperm aspiration) procedure is performed under local anesthesia in our fertility center and is coordinated with your female partner’s egg retrieval. During the IVF Mexico procedure, our LIV reproductive surgeon inserts a needle in the testicle to aspirate the sperm. Under low suction we are able to obtain small amounts of the sperm.
